Quick Wear Tips

Last On, First Off

Put pearls on after skincare, sunscreen, perfume and hairspray. Remove them first when you get home.

Keep Chemicals Away

Avoid contact with perfume, alcohol hand rub, cleaning agents and chlorine. These damage nacre.

After Wear, Gently Wipe

Use a soft lint-free cloth (dry or slightly damp) to remove sweat and oils, then air dry.

Cleaning · Storage · Restringing

Cleaning

  • Wipe with a soft, lint-free cloth after each wear.
  • For smudges, use a slightly damp cloth; let pearls air dry.
  • Do not use ultrasonic cleaners, alcohol, harsh detergents, or silver polishing cloth on the pearl surface.

Storage

  • Store in a cool, dry place — separately from harder jewelry.
  • Avoid long-term airtight storage or direct sun to prevent dehydration/yellowing.
  • Pouches or lined boxes are ideal; keep away from bathrooms.

Restringing (Necklaces/Bracelets)

  • Check string tension periodically; restring every 1–2 years for knotted strands.
  • If the cord loosens or discolors, stop wearing and restring.

Do & Don’t

Do

  • Wear them regularly — natural skin moisture is good for pearls.
  • Wipe gently after wear and store separately.
  • Remove before shower, swim, gym or sauna.

Don’t

  • Use chemical cleaners, alcohol, or ultrasonic machines.
  • Expose to perfume, hairspray, sunscreen and chlorine.
  • Throw pearls in a bag with keys or hard jewelry.

Pearl Care FAQ

Do pearls turn yellow over time?

They can if stored for long periods in very dry or sealed conditions. Wear them occasionally and store in a cool, dry place away from direct sun to maintain moisture and luster.

Can I wear pearls in the shower or pool?

Not recommended. Shampoos, soaps and chlorine can erode nacre and dull the surface.

My silver/gold parts tarnished — what should I do?

Use a metal-specific polishing cloth on the metal only, carefully avoiding pearl surfaces.

How often should I restring pearl necklaces?

Every 1–2 years for knotted strands, or sooner if you notice slack, fraying or discoloration.

Do you offer cleaning services?

No, we currently do not provide cleaning or maintenance services. Please follow the care steps above or consult a trusted local jeweler if needed.
